NR Foundation mark a significant step towards empowerment and inclusivity with the inauguration of the "Swavalambi Stree" program at NR Centre for Community Development. Spearheaded by Shri. R Guru, this initiative aims to empower underprivileged women, many of whom are single mothers, through free auto rickshaw driving training.
Over the next 4-6 months, the center will train 25 women, paving the way for increased representation of women auto rickshaw drivers in Mysuru. This initiative not only enhances livelihood opportunities but also contributes to safer transportation options for residents and tourists alike. Shri. R Guru applauded the courage and determination of these women and wished them every success in their journey towards independence and empowerment.
