NR Centre for Community Development (NRCCD) conducted two outreach training programmes in Benkipura and Challahalli, two villages in Bilikere Taluk for 62 women in Tailoring and Embroidery. The duration of each course was of 3 months.
Mrs. Komala, a trainer qualified from JSS Training Institution with an experience of over 12 years was the trainer.
Certificates were distributed by Mrs. Ambujamma - President, Challahally Panchayat, Mr. Raju - Benkipura Panchayat Member, Mr. Mohan - Challahally Panchayat Member, Ms. Komala - Trainer, Mrs. Shruthi Ranga, Mrs. Pooja Ranga both members of Ranga Family and Mr. Guru - Chairman, NR Foundation were the guests and they distributed the certificates. The Panchayat Chairman and members appreciated NR Foundation and NRCCD for conducting the training programme in villages which saved the trainees time and money. Ms. Shruthi Ranga and Ms. Pooja Ranga addressed the trainees and wished them success in their efforts. Mr. Guru appreciated the development that had taken place in villages and told them that they are no less than city dwellers and could succeed in their efforts with persistence and perseverance.
Three trainees addressed the gathering. They thanked NR Foundation and NRCCD and the trainer and said they could now venture into taking orders and executing tailoring and embroidery and complement their earnings.
Panchayat members assured to support the women who have completed the training in setting up their own businesses. Ms. Suma, coordinator of the Central Government sponsored Sanjivini SHG programme, said that she will facilitate in getting loans to those who want to start their own businesses.
This training program was a huge success. NR Foundation offered to examine requests for conducted such training programme in other villages too.
